Online gambling in Europe
In the recent European iGaming Congress and Expo in Milan, the Remote Gaming Association (RGA Remote-Gamblig Association) established a list of measures proposed to uniformly regulate the online gambling in Europe. The guide, entitled “Gambling Online: Key objectives for the success of a regulatory and fiscal framework,” summarizes the key issues in establishing the rules of online gambling legal.
Currently, individual European countries to work autonomously in determining whether online gambling are legal. Among those who do online gaming permits, regulatory measures vary greatly.
RGA, an association of online gaming based in London and Brussels, has among its members such influential unascompañías as Playtech, Microgaming and Virgin Games, aims to promote non-discriminatory regulatory environment in which licensed operators can provide legal services to online gambling.
Clive Hawkswood, CEO of RGA, said the guidelines have been created as a tool for those countries considering legalization.

The 16-page guide is divided into three parts: Key objectives of regulation, taxation and the rules of the game away. Key objectives include fair play, protection of vulnerable players and providing an environment free of crime. Taxes over the gross profit is the recommended model. The rules of the game address how the regulatory structure that will allow operators to generate revenue, which is particularly important for gambling on poker and casino games.
